CMM-10RL Transformer Oil Regeneration Plant

The GlobeCore CMM-10RL is engineered for deep regeneration of transformer oil and a broad range of dielectric and industrial fluids, returning them to a condition comparable to fresh oil. Purification is achieved by circulating oil through ten regeneration columns, each loaded with 75 kg of Fuller’s earth sorbent. This fine-porous adsorbent traps oxidation byproducts, sludge, acids, moisture and other harmful contaminants as the oil passes through. The result is striking: dark, degraded oil becomes clear and light once more, while dielectric strength rises, acid number drops and overall stability is restored. Reclaimed oil is fully suitable for continued use in transformers and high-voltage equipment, cutting the need for new oil procurement and reducing waste disposal costs.

What sets the CMM-10RL apart is its integrated sorbent reactivation system. Conventional regeneration equipment requires the exhausted sorbent to be removed and discarded at regular intervals — a costly and labor-intensive process. The CMM-10RL takes a different approach: the sorbent is restored directly inside the columns through controlled heating and oxidation, without any need for extraction. This allows the adsorbent material to be reused across 300 to 500 reactivation cycles, dramatically lowering consumable expenses, eliminating sorbent waste streams and delivering consistent performance over the long term.

The CMM-10RL handles far more than transformer oil. It is equally effective with turbine oil, Fyrquel fire-resistant fluids, hydraulic oils, cable oils, compressor oils, gearbox oils, silicone fluids, Midel 7131, FR3 dielectric fluids, gas condensate, and marine and diesel fuels. Its capabilities extend to oil bleaching, fuel polishing and the recovery of low-viscosity marine fuels, making it a practical, multi-purpose asset for energy companies, industrial facilities, transport operators and oil service providers.

At a throughput of 0.75 m³/h, the CMM-10RL is well suited to continuous regeneration tasks. It can be paired with degassing or drying units to build a complete transformer oil servicing line. Returning waste oil to active service generates measurable economic savings, reduces environmental burden and helps extend equipment service life by keeping insulating oil within stable electrical and chemical parameters.

Built for demanding industrial environments, the CMM-10RL delivers dependable operation, lower running costs and consistently high purification quality. Its combination of generous sorbent capacity, efficient in-column reactivation and compatibility with a wide spectrum of fluid types makes it a sustainable, cost-effective choice for oil maintenance programs and transformer service operations.
